Bi-Rite Market is holding a raffle for Soul Food Farm!

biriteBi-Rite Market, the independent San Francisco supermarket that has always been an incredible supporter of local farms (see Edible San Francisco cover story), has put together a Soul Food Farm Recovery Fund Raffle. Tickets are $5 a pop, or 5 for $20. You can buy them in the store (3639 18th Street), the Bi-Rite Creamery (down the street), or by calling the Market (415-241-9760). Sales will run through the end of September. The drawing will take place Thursday, October 1; winners will be contacted to arrange pickup immediately thereafter.

So far, the raffle prizes include:

  • Ice cream for a year from Bi-Rite Creamery (as a $400 gift card)
  • Gift basket of our “greatest hits” items ($150 value)
  • A 6-pack of Mom’s preserves ($50 value)
  • A case of 18th Street wines ($150 value)

All the money from ticket sales will go directly to Soul Food Farms; Bi-Rite will also match up to $2,000. Wow. Sam Mogannam, you are an organic, locally grown peach.
